A number of Barrhead Housing Association’s staff recently went to visit a statue of Oor Willie, which has popped up in Kelburn Street as part of the Oor Wullie’s BIG Bucket Trail – an 11-week nationwide public art trail which is raising vital funds for Scotland’s children’s hospital charities. Funds raised though the trail will go to Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity and the ARCHIE Foundation, helping children in hospitals across Scotland.
The statue pictured below is entitled “buzzin” and was painted by Glasgow south-side based artist Bronwyn Gilgallon
Why don’t you go and try and find the other statue located elsewhere in Barrhead?
Alternatively, if you are feeling adventurous you can take part in the bucket trail. Further details can be found at www.oorwullie.com/
